The President of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), Chief Emeka Obegolu, SAN, PhD, has joined millions of Nigerians and well-wishers around the world in celebrating the nation’s children on the occasion of this year’s Children’s Day.
In a goodwill message, Chief Obegolu, SAN, PhD described Nigerian children as the “heartbeat of the nation’s future,” emphasizing the collective responsibility of all stakeholders to nurture their potential and uphold their rights to education, protection, and growth in a safe and inclusive environment.
“Today is a powerful reminder of the hope, dreams, and promise our children represent. They are the leaders, innovators, and change-makers of tomorrow. It is our duty as a society to ensure that they thrive and are equipped with the tools and support they need,” he stated.
Chief Obegolu, SAN, PhD reaffirmed the Chamber’s commitment to child development, particularly in promoting entrepreneurship, digital literacy, and early skills acquisition.
“We recognize the importance of building a future where every child has access to opportunities to explore their talents. That’s why we have organized trainings during school holidays through our BEST Centre in areas such as digital skills, photography, graphic design, music, and more, to equip them early for future success,” he explained.
The ACCI President also called on the government, private sector, civil society, and local communities to remain committed to creating an environment where every Nigerian child can dream big and achieve even more.
“To our dear children: keep shining, keep believing in yourselves, and never stop learning. The world is yours to shape.
“On behalf of the Executive Council and members of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry, I wish all Nigerian children a joyful and impactful Children’s Day celebration,” he added.
