China’s commercial vehicle sales soared 79.6 per cent year on year to 324,000 units in January, industry data showed.
According to industry data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, a total of 324,000 commercial vehicles were sold during the month.
The data highlights that the robust growth was primarily driven by the sale of trucks, which saw a remarkable 81.8% surge year on year, totalling 289,000 units. Additionally, the sale of coaches also experienced a significant uptick, with 35,000 units sold, reflecting a 63.4% increase compared to January 2023.
Notably, the report also unveiled a positive trend in China’s commercial vehicle exports, which reached 74,000 units in January. This figure represents a substantial 46.9% growth compared to the same period last year, indicating a strong demand for Chinese commercial vehicles in the global market.
