Since commencing operations in Nigeria in 1981, China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) has evolved to become the largest construction company in Nigeria with its business covering the 36 states of the federation and the capital city, Abuja.

For the past 43 years, CCECC Nigeria Limited has enjoyed a cordial relationship with both the federal and state governments by undertaking crucial infrastructural projects in railways, highways, airports, bridges, municipal works, building construction, waterworks, and electricity among others.

In railways, CCECC successfully undertook the construction and rehabilitation of the Abuja-Kaduna railway, Abuja Rail Mass Transit, Lagos-Ibadan Railway and the Lagos Blue Rail. Ongoing railway projects by the construction giant include the Kaduna-Kano railway, Port Harcourt-Maiduguri Eastern Narrow-Guage Railway, and the Lagos Red Line Rail.

They also constructed the Katsina stadium and the modern stadium in Ikom, Cross River state.

In the aviation sector, CCECC successfully undertook the renovation of the terminal buildings of Abuja, Kano, Port Harcourt and Lagos international airports as well as the airstrips of the Yobe and Ekiti airports respectively.

CCECC has embarked on strategic projects in ports and water works. Some of these include the construction of the Nigerian Navy Ship Beecroft Jetty in Lagos, the Nigerian Naval Shipyard in Port Harcourt, Heyden Jetty Lagos, Apapa Container terminal and the rehabilitation of the old port in Warri, Delta state.

In addition to considerable investments in the Lekki Free Trade Zone, Wagon Assembly Plant in Ogun, and Grand Panorama in Ikoyi, CCECC also supplies heavy-duty machinery needed for construction and mechanized farming. Some of these include tippers, track laying machines, piling machines, concrete mixing plants, asphalt mixing plants, cranes and bridge erectors.

In the area of technology transfer and human capital infrastructure, CCECC has employed and trained thousands of Nigerians with relevant skills in civil engineering, construction, Road, Bridge, River and railway engineering. The company CCECC has sponsored over 190 Nigerian students to universities in China to study engineering and transport-related courses.
