Sinostar International Nigeria Limited says it has supplied a few thousand pieces of heavy-duty equipment in Nigeria thus becoming the second most patronized construction machinery company in Nigeria.
Micah Gwazah, After Sales Service Manager of the Chinese firm, made this known in an exclusive interview with newsmen in Abuja on Tuesday.
Gwazah said the equipment enjoys massive patronage because they are affordable, durable and easy to maintain compared to other products in the market.
His words, “Our equipment which includes Liugong (Wheel Loaders, Hydraulic Excavators, Bulldozers, Rollers, Forklift Truck, Motor Graders), Shantui (Bulldozers, Roller) and Sinotruk (Tipper, Cargo Truck and Tractors) are relatively cost-effective, durable and very easy to maintain. We also have a very comprehensive after-sales service and the spare parts of our machines are readily available.
“We are one of the largest heavy equipment suppliers in Nigeria. Since inception in 2005, we have supplied a few thousand of equipment to different construction companies, mining companies, government sectors and private individuals. SINOSTA has achieved certain achievements in the fields of construction machinery and equipment, vehicle sales, spare parts supply, and after-market services in the past seventeen years of cultivation in Nigeria, and has a high market awareness.”
In terms of the contribution of the company to the development of Nigeria, Gwazah stated that Sinostar has deepened the heavy-duty equipment sector by proving alternative quality equipment at a very affordable rate and also providing direct and indirect employment to hundreds of Nigerians.
“Before coming into Nigeria, the heavy-duty machinery sector was more of a monopoly with clients having little or no alternatives. But Sinoster Nigeria Limited has changed the narrative. We not only deepen the heavy machinery market in Nigeria, but we also ensured that our clients get value for money by proving them with alternatives at a very affordable rate. This has greatly helped the government, construction companies and other clients in saving costs.
“We have trained hundreds of equipment maintenance technicians for Nigeria. we currently have almost 100 Nigerian workers in our employment occupying significant positions, especially in the after-sales department,” Gwazah added.
