Peter Obi of the Labour Party has won the presidential election conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Delta State last Saturday.
According to the electoral umpire, Obi polled 341,866 votes to defeat Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who got 161,600 while Bola Tinubu, flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) garnered 90,183 votes. The candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso came a distant fourth with 3,122 votes.
Delta governor, Ifeanyi Okowa is the Vice Presidential candidate of the PDP.
