Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday sent a congratulatory letter to the World Intelligence Expo 2024, which is being held from June 20 to 23 in north China’s Tianjin Municipality.
Artificial intelligence (AI) is an important driving force in a time of technological revolution and industrial change, and it will impact global socioeconomic development and the progress of human civilization, Xi noted.
China highly values the development of AI, and is promoting deep integration between the Internet, big data, AI and the real economy, fostering the growth of intelligence industries, and developing new quality productive forces, he said.
China will work with other countries to take advantage of the development opportunities in digitalization, deepen international cooperation on AI development and governance, and promote the healthy development of AI as well as global economic growth, he added.
