China National Building Material (CNBM) Group Company Limited On Monday, August 26, hosted the 2024 “Open Event” at the Sinoma factory in Kuje Area Council, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
Themed “The Smart Use of Resources Day,” the event attracted a diverse audience of distinguished personalities, including Geng Fugtao, Managing Director of Sinoma Nigeria Limited; Hui Zhang, Managing Director of New Materials Nigeria Company Limited; Huafeng Liu, Managing Director of FABCOM Structural Limited; and Yemi Sola-Adebiyi, Chairperson of the Nigerian Institute of Architects, Abuja chapter, along with traditional rulers, business executives, and key stakeholders in the building and construction industry.*
In his welcome address, Hui Zhang emphasized the company’s commitment to innovation and sustainability within the building materials sector. He highlighted the growing importance of high-quality development in the fibre-cement-board industry, which has gained popularity in Nigeria due to its waterproof and fireproof properties.
“New Materials Company employs state-of-the-art production technology for fibre-cement boards, integrating low carbon, environmental protection, and resilience throughout the manufacturing process,” Zhang stated.
Also speaking, Huafeng Liu, Managing Director of FABCOM Structural Limited, said the company is committed to delivering high-quality roofing solutions and promoting sustainable practices in Nigeria. He noted that since its establishment in 2014, FABCOM has emerged as the largest roofing company in Nigeria.
“FABCOM offers a diverse array of roofing products, including durable roofing tiles, long-span roofing sheets, Ghana roofing sheets, and solar roofing tiles. Our mission is to enhance living standards across Africa through our innovative offerings,” Liu said, noting that the company has an annual production capacity exceeding 5 million square meters and has provided over 10 million square meters of roofing products across Nigeria and neighbouring countries, capturing more than 15% of the market share.
A key highlight of the event was the tour of the production facilities for both companies, allowing attendees to witness firsthand the innovative processes behind their products. The event also featured product reviews from customers and testimonials from staff and family members.
With branches across Nigeria, New Materials Company Limited and FABCOM Structural Limited are subsidiaries of Sinoma Nigeria Company Limited, a listed company under the China National Building Materials (CNBM) Group.
