The International Housing Show is the  largest housing and construction event showcase out of Nigeria to serve the world in over 15 years, with a proven record of excellence in meeting the teeming needs of the building  industry.

Fibre Cement Board, an innovative building material, is now manufactured in Nigeria by the new material Nigeria limited, a company which is part of the Sinoma/CNBM group, a 500 company with headquarters in Beijing, China.

Speaking at  the Africa international housing show 2022. The Managing Director of New Material Nigeria company, Mr. Jackie Dai Hui said New Material Nigeria Limited, which recently opened its factory in the Kuje area of Abuja, said Sinoma group has been in Nigeria for 50 years, and this is the first building supplier in Nigeria, its the first outside China and is already producing fiber cement boards of global standards. “In the whole of Africa, we have our first factory and store in Nigeria. We plan to open more factories in Lagos and other parts of the country, he said”.

Speaking on the cost benefits of using fiber cement boards, Hui said it saves material and manpower costs and reflects positively on the duration of project delivery. It also saves cost, it saves human resources, it saves cement, it saves blocks With a superior emphasis on strength, soundproof, water resistance,  and fireproofing qualities, and most importantly, it protects the environment. It’s green and better than block,” he explained.

He revealed  that the factory  premises in Kuje in the FCT  had the most up-to-date measures for industrial safety and had passed fire safety tests by the federal fire service.

The factory  he said employs 120 Nigerians staff directly at various levels apart from the management  “we only have 4 Chinese staff. And in the future they will be part of the management team by giving them more opportunity to work , then you won’t see Chinese people but only the Nigerians” Dai Hui said

“We source raw materials locally that’s why we have the confidence to grow and stay in Nigeria”.

Recently, all employees of the company, Sinoma Construction Nigeria Co., Ltd., Sinoma Construction Nigeria Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Wuhan Building Materials Industrial Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. and the main management personnel of the calcium silicate board project department gathered in the workshop to celebrate this hard-won victory. , watching the calcium silicate boards passing by like water, everyone cheered, excitement, joy, tears and smiles mixed on everyone’s faces, the large-scale production of calcium silicate board production lines, not only It is a sincere reward to all the project builders who have worked hard during the past two years, and it also marks that the company has officially entered the production and operation stage. This represents a huge boost in Nigeria’s housing sector.

Since the start of the project, under the care of the leaders of the superior company and the strong support of various departments, all the employees of the company, all the brothers and the project department have made concerted efforts to fight against the epidemic, fight the construction period, and effectively organize the construction, in order to ensure safety, Under the premise of “zero” accidents, the production line was successfully mass-produced, which fully demonstrated the “iron army” spirit and strong creativity, execution and combat effectiveness of the on-site team that can fight tough battles, dare to think and act.

CNBM Nigeria New Materials Co., Ltd. is a joint venture company established by Sinoma Energy Conservation (Wuhan) Co., Ltd. and Sinoma Construction Co., Ltd. in 2020. The company is located in Abuja, the capital of Nigeria. The overall deployment of the “Cooperation” initiative, the implementation of the group’s development strategy, the deepening of international operations, and the acceleration of the “going out” pace of production capacity, the layout of the first overseas calcium silicate board investment project with an annual production capacity of 5 million square meters. Calcium silicate board is an excellent material for green buildings.

The product  has superior characteristics such as fire prevention (up to A1 standard), thermal insulation, anti-corrosion and moth resistance, waterproof and moisture-proof, sound insulation and sound absorption, light weight and high strength, green and harmless. It is more energy-saving, environmentally friendly, earthquake-resistant and impact-resistant, and can be widely used in the fields of interior and exterior wall insulation decoration, suspended ceilings, cabin partitions, billboards, etc., and the design and installation have strong plasticity, saving time and labor.

The mass production of the production line has not only enhanced the confidence of all employees of the company, but also greatly inspired the morale of front-line workers, and has also played a role in boosting the company’s production and operation. In 2022, we will live up to our youth and youth, based on our position, work hard to carry out various tasks, forge ahead, and launch the “first shot” of the overseas development of the Group’s calcium silicate board industry, to be better, stronger, and better.

The large calcium silicate board industry has made greater contributions to promoting the rapid development of Nigeria’s building materials manufacturing industry.

Fabcom another company under the group  has been in Nigeria for almost 8 years, it has become one of the biggest local manufacturer in Nigeria and it’s into producing roofing system, for example, stone coat roofing tiles and we can provide roofing system for all Nigerians, before now Nigerians import from different countries without warrant but now,  Fabcom is here in Nigeria where you can walk into the factory, feel the material quality if you choose Fabcom roofing you chose safety and comfort-ability. You cant trust and believe our product quality. We are here to work together with the Nigerian people to build a better nation
