SHEIN, a prominent player in the global e-commerce landscape, has announced plans to set up its supply chain headquarters in the Zengcheng District of Guangzhou, located in south China’s Guangdong Province. This strategic move, confirmed by local authorities, marks a significant investment in the region and aims to enhance the company’s operational capabilities.
The first phase of the headquarters project will span an impressive 738 mu (approximately 49.2 hectares) and will feature a total floor area of no less than 800,000 square meters. The project represents a substantial investment of 3.69 billion yuan (around 517 million U.S. dollars), underscoring SHEIN’s commitment to expanding its footprint in the competitive e-commerce market.
According to the Zengcheng branch of the Guangzhou Municipal Planning and Natural Resources Bureau, the new headquarters will include a state-of-the-art intelligent warehousing and logistics distribution park. This facility is designed to integrate various functions such as warehousing, stocking, picking, distribution, delivery, and settlement, streamlining operations for improved efficiency.
As a global cross-border e-commerce platform, SHEIN specializes in a wide range of fashion products, including clothing, shoes, and bags, catering to consumers across the globe. The establishment of this headquarters is expected to bolster SHEIN’s supply chain management and enhance its ability to serve its international customer base more effectively.
With this ambitious project, SHEIN is poised to strengthen its position in the global market while contributing to the economic development of the Zengcheng District and the broader Guangdong Province.
