The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will today stage a mega rally in Osogbo the Osun State capital to drum support for its governorship candidate, Senator Ademola Adeleke ahead of Saturday’s election.
Party stakeholders including presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar and state governors are expected at the event.

3. Tinubu To Intervene In ASUU Strike
Meanwhile, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has promised to intervene in the ongoing strike action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
The former Lagos state governor made the disclosure during a meeting with the leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) in Osogbo, the Osun state capital on Wednesday.
ASUU embarked on strike in February over the inability of the government to meet its demands.
4. Three Killed In Flash Floods In SW China’s Sichuan
On the foreign scene; at least three people have been killed and 15 others are missing after flash floods triggered by heavy rains swept through Pingwu County in Mianyang City, southwest China’s Sichuan Province.
According to local authorities, about 150 people trapped have been rescued and over 700 persons have been moved to safety.

Award-winning superstar, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido has stormed Osun state to rally support for his uncle, Senator Ademola Adeleke, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for Saturday’s governorship election.
In a video shared online, the DMW boss is seen touring the state in a carnival-like manner while receiving cheers and applause from supporters.

And in sport; the Atlas Lionesses of Morocco have qualified for its first-ever female world cup billed for Australia and New Zealand next year.
Morrocco booked their place in the Mundial after defeating Botswana 2-1 in the quarter-final tie at the ongoing Women Nations Cup in Rabat.
