China Media Group (CMG) on Monday released a report on foreign companies’ ESG actions in China.
ESG stands for environmental, social and governance. These three aspects are important considerations for the sustainable development of enterprises and are also regarded as social responsibilities of enterprises.
The report focuses on how foreign companies in China can fully embrace the new opportunities of Chinese modernization, deeply implement the concept of ESG social responsibility, and inject new momentum into China’s sustainable development.
In recent years, as China continues to promote the low-carbon development and green transformation of foreign enterprises, many foreign companies in China have integrated business values with social values and integrated ESG value propositions with China’s new development concepts.
The report also puts forward suggestions on how foreign companies in China can further improve the working standard of ESG actions, to promote the integration of foreign enterprises into high-quality economic and social development in China.
