The need to deepen friendship and cooperation between China and Nigeria is the reason for this cross-cultural event put together by Sinoma Nigeria Company Limited – a firm that specializes in the construction of cement plants, refineries, power plants, roads, bridges and the manufacture of stone coated roofing sheets and fibre cement boards.
In his remarks, Jackie Dai, Executive Deputy Managing Director, said the exchange will help sustain the friendship between local employees and their Chinese counterparts.
He said the company’s products are in high demand because of their quality, durability and affordability.
With an active staff strength of 5,000 Nigerian employees nationwide, Mr Jackie noted that the company is willing to contribute more to the development of Nigeria through job creation, Corporate Social responsibility and attracting more Chinese investors to Nigeria.
Also speaking, Obiageri Clementina Henshaw, Human Resource Manager, thanked Sinoma for making staff welfare a priority and promoting friendship between local employees and their Chinese counterparts.
After a fruitful exchange, attendees embarked on a tour of the company’s headquarters in Abuja before being treated to delicious Nigerian and Chinese cuisines and beautiful photo sessions.
Affiliated to China National Building Materials (CNBM) Group Corporation, Sinoma began operations in Nigeria in 2008 and currently has branches in all 36 states of the federations and the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.
